Job Summary:

The job of a Research & Development Technician II is to assist with functions required to bring new products or materials to Commercialization as well as participate in process improvement endeavors.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Federal, State, Governmental and or any other appropriate regulatory laws or guidelines
  • Assist with Food Safety issues, scientific and technical developments, and industry codes of practice
  • Ensure standards are met in the areas of Food Safety and Product Quality and especially during the execution of research and product development work. Report Food Safety violations and defective quality
  • Work toward continual improvement of work processes, testing methodology and process control
  • Develop new testing methods as needed to support new products. Train applicable personnel
  • Assist with production line trials
  • Perform the analytical and sensory tests required for developing new products and materials
  • Data input, analysis, and writing of reports
  • Involvement with the five phases of product development
  • Customer sample preparation in support of sales team

Follow all company procedures and policies, especially with respect to Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
  • Good interpretive and/or reactive skills
  • Laboratory Experience

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $24.08 per hour
