Job Summary:
The Corporate Safety Manager (CSM) is responsible for the development, oversight, and enforcement of the Corporate Safety Program for the company. The CSM develops the Corporate Safety Strategy including procedures and processes to ensure maximum compliance with Local, State, Federal regulation including CAL-OSHA, federal OSHA, ADA, EPA, CERS, DTCS. This job class requires advanced knowledge of environmental health and safety requirements, government regulations, analytical skills; and the ability to oversee corporate domestic and international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the company’s corporate safety strategy to ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Partner with leadership and employees to analyze incidents, identify hazards, and drive continuous safety improvements.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Develop, deliver, and oversee safety training programs that promote employee engagement and accountability.
- Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs, including hazardous materials and waste management.
- Chair safety committee meetings and foster a proactive safety culture across all sites.
- Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance.
- Travel to domestic and international company sites to support safety initiatives.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, demonstrating a strong commitment to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in support of product integrity, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field)
- 10+ years progressive experience in managing health and safety policies and practices
Requirements:
- Certified Safety Professional (CPS) or other safety certification programs
- Manufacturing environments experience a must
- Excellent analysis and reporting skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpretive and/or reactive skills
- Bilingual (English- Spanish preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal safety laws; ADA regulations
- Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations
- Operational knowledge of a personal computer and related software, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications
- Valid Driver License and Passport
- Travel
Salary: $125,000-$150,000
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm M-F
